![]() Love Story: The Book of Ruth |
The story of Ruth has often been called the greatest piece of literature ever written and the Cinderella story of the Bible. Join us starting May 13th as we study a book that points us in the direction of God's ultimate interest: redemption. Taught By Randy Simmons--Auditorium |
On an UP Note: A Study of Philippians
|
Paul's letter to the church in Philippi is among the most positive letters he wrote. In order to be well-rounded Christians, we need to learn from conflict and mistakes and admonishment, but we also need to be refreshed by Scripture, like this book, that soothes our spirits and calms our souls. Join us for a look at a congregation at peace, the "anti-Corinth" if you will, and see what we can learn from an UP book. Taught by Steve Caldwell--Room 183/4 |

Pondering Precious Thoughts:
The Book of James ![]() |
What message did the non-believer turned believer, half brother of Jesus want for the scattered believers in what is believed to be the first New Testament book penned? What truths were shared so the brothers wouldnʼt be deceived but rather inspired to live out their Christian faith in the face of persecution? The book of James provides precious, matter of fact thoughts on how one can live out a life pleasing to God. The book oozes with truths which if we are willing to let change us, will spring our thoughts into behaviors that reflect Christ. Join us as we wholeheartedly read through this timeless book desiring that Godʼs thoughts transform our lives. Taught by Betty Massey--Room 118 |
Welcome
Welcome to Gulf Coast church of Christ!
Our congregation is made up of people who meet regularly to share in worship, study, prayer, and friendship. In Jesus Christ, we have found new directions for our lives, and we are now seeking to follow the Lord's instructions so we can learn to be people who really care for others. We believe those instructions are not found through traditions or modern day revelations, but through God's word, the Bible, and it alone.
We are thankful to live in the 21st century, with all of its unique blessings and opportunities. But we also share with you many modern struggles and concerns. Although sin has not changed, it can be found in many new guises. We all understand the challenges of raising children, keeping our marriages strong, and pursuing a holy lifestyle. We want to offer you our friendship and invite you to become part of our church family.
Our desire as a church family is to be actively involved spreading the kingdom of God and to focus our Christ-centered ministry on sharing joys and meeting needs. If you have any questions concerning our children, youth, and adult ministries or Bible classes, please call the church office at 936-4554.
